My prior chiropractor made a house call for me when I couldn't get off the floor. That was around 2004. Never before and never since has any doctor done that for me.

Kinesio tape and graston technique saved my hands. Chiropractic. An MD could trivially learn how to do both (right now I am successfullyself treating, since it wasn't hard to learn), but they just don't know.
Also to be noted is that the AMA pushed opioids in the midst of that crisis, saying that they weren't really addictive. In their training on pain management, they even pushed (highly recommended) these powerful dangerous drugs on children.
Organized medicine has not exactly covered itself in glory these last several years. It probably goes back to Roe v Wade, before which abortion was against the ethical practice of medicine & rather than telling Justice Douglas & the SCOTUS to find themselves a profession to do their dirty work for them, they collapsed like a wet cardboard box.
Then it was creeping euthanasia, but if late Satan has had his way with the profession: vaccines for any sniffle or rash, transgender treatments, COVID malpractice, COVID JABS.
The bulk of us went along with the flow until COVID, when TPTB started telling us how to practice medicine, safe medicines that we all of a sudden, couldn’t use & dangerous drugs that we must use, whether it killed the patients or not & enforced violations patients’ rights, up to and including denial of treatment.
Like the proverbial frog in the pot of water, suddenly m, but not so suddenly, every precept of ethical medicine was violated routinely & was expected to be violated, commanded to be violated. By that time most of us were employees and ultimately it was their way or the highway & most caved.
Fortunately, by then, I was well out of hospital medicine and in the little Federally supported clinic in a small town, I could resist the most egregious violation without drawing too much attention to myself.
As I became aware of the problems with the COVID VACCINES, I was fortunate to be pointed again to the literature on vaccines and Autism and then to TURTLES ALL THE WAY DOWN & the whole suppressed literature on vaccine harms and lack of safety testing, and the burden of chronic disease that kids in this country bear, an unknown proportion of which is likely attributable to vaccines.
As Pogo said, decades ago, we have met the enemy and he/she is us.
I am retired (for now) but if I were to do it again, I pray that I would do many things differently.
