The NYT uses CDC data and updates daily. CDC updates daily too. Each has a vaccination data tracker. You would think they would both provide the same data. But they never do.
CDC claims its new boosters (the only kind Americans 12 years and older are allowed to receive since Sept. 1) are going like hotcakes. Yet the NYT still says (in 2 places) that only 33% of the population has received a booster of any kind—and that number has not changed since August, before the new boosters were rolled out.
CDC, on the other hand, claims in its data tracker that 35.4% of Americans have been boosted. It also told the NYT that 11.5 million people (3.5% of the population) had already gotten a new bivalent booster. Do you know any of them? Biden ordered 171 million doses. 160 million are then waiting for arms. Will mandates come back?
Did you hear about the National Guard members who were told they were getting flu shots and were jabbed with COVID shots instead? Google is not letting me find the article. Google’s censorship has gone wild as we head toward election day. Or maybe it is forever.
UPDATE October 7: CDC must have had its feelings hurt. It is going through a RESET, according to Rochelle. So here is one of its first changes: less data to be provided to the public.
CDC Will Stop Issuing Daily Updates of COVID Cases, Deaths
U.S. News & World Report reported:
Anyone who still wants to keep track of U.S. COVID cases and deaths will soon have to wait for the weekly reports. The U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention announced Thursday that it will stop publishing COVID case and death data on a daily basis and instead issue weekly updates, starting Oct. 20.
The move is in line with efforts to wind down other COVID-related tools on the CDC website. It eases reporting requirements for state and local health departments who can report the information weekly on Wednesdays, the agency said.
The agency is continuing its daily hospitalization reports, which the U.S. Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services collects. The CDC will take charge of that data in December…
