There apparently are a few individuals and small groups that are more powerful than probably all governments. Governments exist to do their bidding under the pretext of somehow being beneficial to the rest of us.
Aristophanes' comedic satire on political systems, "The Knights," written around 2500 years ago, is highly entertaining, instructive, and a short read. If I remember correctly (it's been over 3 decades for me) most could probably read it in around an hour.
In David Rogers Webb's "The Great Taking," he writes on page 24:
When the dot-com bust was underway, I was asked to meet with George Soros at the offices of Soros Management in New York. I carried into the meeting a single piece of paper. This was a graph showing that the growth rate of U.S. capital spending had blown through five standard deviations above the mean, having never in history broken above three standard deviations. I explained that this meant there would inevitably be a historic bust.
Soros looked closely at the piece of paper, looked up at me and said, "This is good!" He studied the paper further, looked up at me again and said, "This is very good!" He did not disagree with me about the bust, but said "They cannot allow the equity culture to fail." I said, "What can they do that they haven't already done." He said in answer, "You don't know what they can do." So, in such a moment, even George Soros spoke of a THEY.
And on page 34, Webb writes:
Private, closely held control of ALL central banks, and hence of all money creation, has allowed a very few people to control all political parties, governments, the intelligence agencies and their myriad front organizations, the armed forces, the police, the major corporations, and of course, the media. These very few people are the prime movers. Their plans are executed over decades. Their control is opaque. When George Soros said to me, "You don't know what THEY can do," it was these people to whom he referred. Now, to be absolutely clear, it is these very few people, who are hidden from you, who are behind this war against humanity. You may never know who they are. The people you are allowed to see are hired "face men" and "face women." They are expendable.
I couldn't tell you how many people I've read, going back ages, who've made similar claims (and documented their sources).
As for the hired expendables, it fascinates me that they really go along with the program. I've known for a long time that I'm even beneath expendable and am fine with the fact, but I could never knowingly work for the monsters especially since I realize that they get their cut no matter what I do.
Anyway, I never tire of reading that stuff, so thanks for the link!
You're very welcome! As for why the expendables go along with the program, if you watch the Ronald Bernard videos, you can understand that it's almost impossible to "get out" alive once you've taken part in the ritual atrocities and are compromised. So the expendables keep on accepting the power, status, and money.
It’s pretty simple - the real rulers of the world simply identified all of the institutions they would have to control to rule the world with nobody being able to identify them as the real bosses and villains.
And very interestingly, one of the CIA's early duties was to cover up knowledge of the solar "micro" nova cycle and geomagnetic reversals and control research and related narratives... while the "elites" in government scurried to find ways to maintain C.O.G. (AKA save themselves!), hence the D.U.M.B.s out west (and USG's current efforts to find better locations: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d5SUtCWjux0 )
I have read "Tragedy and Hope." Got it from my local library. Not boring at all for anyone interested in history. A must read! Late in the book he talks about Cecil Rhodes, and the founding of the Round Table group. This is the British Empire gone hidden. It is still with us. It is the British Deep State, and includes the City of London banking cabal, the Rothschild empire, Wall Street, and the intelligence community, especially MI6.
John: Yes. Another fascinating part of this history is the Venetian Empire, at its height the second largest and wealthiest in Europe. As Rome fell, some of the wealthy families began to build Venice (a backwater group of islands) into a city, then an empire (from which we get the term ghetto, where Jews were required to live). They (the Venetians) were responsible for so damaging Constantinople (seat of the Eastern Roman Empire), that the Ottomans were able to destroy it. It was all about controlling trade in the eastern Mediterranean. Once Venetian power waned, they transferred their wealth (much of it from a monopoly on the silk trade) to Holland and England, thus the Dutch East India Company and the British East India Company. So, some of these oligarchic families can trace their bloodlines back to Rome.
And the Phoenicians. "Venetians" even sounds a lot like "Phoenicians" at least the way we Midwesterners pronounce those words!
And remember the "Spanish" and "Portuguese" ones as well. It's also interesting to note who financed the "American" revolution and why Hamilton was so eager to impose a "constitution" on us; i.e., to make the consolidated states more credit worthy. Cui bono?
I have read parts of it, but have yet to make it through the entire book. I would say that it is a dense and challenging read, but as you say, not boring for anyone interested in history.
I have a copy of Carroll Quigley’s book. He was a professor at Georgetown (near the seat of the US Government) and his class was famous. Bill Clinton went on record saying his course was the most important one he took at Georgetown.
I almost never disagree with you, Meryl, but I've read all of Quigley, and I don't think it's boring, nor do I think there are any shortcuts to absorbing it. By all means, people, read the Cliff's notes version, but don't give up on the actual book. The details are important.

Thank you Dr Nass, in referencing the above, indeed… it can be said you are in fact doing Gods work… I for one totally appreciate your unstinting efforts.. commendable, more so given the prolific volume and extremely high content value of the same, thus it is with a degree of certainty that I opine, it seems you are being led by and actually doing Gods work… just saying
Great work on all levels, Meryl! First, I'm grateful to learn of the cliff notes. Lol, I've also tried to drill through Carroll's daunting book and was frustrated by its density. And I read a lot of dense texts! So thank you for the heads up on the "cliff notes"! And good work on listening to what Chris Knowles calls a "synchro storm"... we ALL must cultivate a close working relationship with our intuition. It's the only true compass we humans have to navigate the blizzard of A.I-generated "content" and (dis) "informational" opacity we find ourselves in.
Well, I just read the first chapter. I'm speechless... Patrick Wood wrote a new book recently on this, didn't he? The Final Betrayal. This summary, however, seems all that more poignant, maybe because it's closer to the original sources: the secret rulers themselves who revealed it all to Quigley. It makes me so mad because it all comes down to that damned media manipulation of the masses. Without that, their power would slowly fade away. Also, understanding this leaves me feeling really vulnerable. What am I to them but a rat?
Careful, Patrick Wood is following in the footsteps of his friend Antony Sutton in turning this type of research into a Cold War disinformation campaign -
Your account of how you came to learn these things, the timing. and the sense of being called to a mission (if I am representing you correctly) give a unique feel to your article. Thanks for the Cliff Notes and the work behind it.
There's always more where they came from so I say we expose, mock, then ignore them. We would also do well to resist recognize our dependence on their "authority" and systems and wean ourselves away as much as possible.
I also advocate trashing the teevee and all other mass media, developing relationships with real people. and if one feels a need for entertainment to make your own,

Agree and thanks!
A good way to confirm all that he wrote is to get some idea of the history of the British East India Company.
As fascinating as it was appalling. Fits a fairly straightforward pattern too.
