NOTHING the government did during the fiasco helped people, so yes, it is actually better for government to do nothing going forward, except to help educate people about living healthier lives. MAHA, duh!
It is better to do nothing than ingest toxic drugs or receive poisonous injections directly into the bloodstream. If people knew how their own bodies worked...they would be far healthier. People know more about how their automobiles work than their own bodies. They rely on doctors with their "patch-up" Medicine and aren't aware that the only thing that belongs in the human bloodstream are nutrients from food, which create energy and health. They eat processed 'garbage' which has no nutrient value...only calories. Americans now have the reputation of being the most obese in the world. They fail to understand that The mouth was designed to eat natural unprocessed food. Mankind lived on natural food for eons of time in its beginning.
As a chessmaster who was also a doctor I once worked with advised in that field, "...if you don't know what to do in a position, do nothing!" When we are before God's final judgment seat we'll be asked about our actions like Adam in the Garden: "Who told you...?"
How on earth can there be 54 percent of Americans who have not figured this out. That fact disrupts my perception of fellow Americans. There is something seriously wrong with these people.
I do not disgrace whores. Consenting adults should be able to does they wish as long as they don't cause a public menace. Entirely different are media and its employees, which/who create public harm to financially support themselves.
Absolutely predictable: he was miseducated at the wannabe Ivy League, Brown, & writes for the NYT. It is interesting to me that these people are given their marching orders @ the beginning of the year—it is CCP Central Planning journalism, & some how they didn’t learn the lesson about the failures of central planning from the demise of the Soviet Union!!🤮🙄🙄🤮

Seriously wrong - as judged by thinking people who follow Meryl and other 'awake' commentators.
Seriously right - as judged by an education and government system designed to produce people who serve the aims of TPTB.
As well as the intentional progamming of people by vested interests, there are innate differences between people (aka sheeple) who will sacrifice almost anything for the 'promise' of more security and convenience, and other people (aka 'awake') who simply don't like being pushed around. The latter seem to have a natural instinct to avoid or resist anything that carries a whiff of coercion.
For some insights into the difference between sheeple and awake people I recommend the following books:
- Private Truths, Public Lies: The Social Consequences of Preference Falsification by Timur Kuran
- Instincts of the Herd in Peace and War by Wilfred Trotter
The NYT has become something of a joke except to the US coastal liberal "elites" who reside in its echo chamber. To others with any intellectual capacity to apply critical thinking it is a biased and dishonest 'rag" that doesn't anywhere near deserve the "Newspaper of Record" moniker.
And it is slowly dying. We can only hope that the rate of decline will accelerate and put it, and us, out of our misery?
I was bummed about the survey results because, of course, I would like to see much more people saying, "oh hell no." But, then it dawned on me... even though it was only 1500 some odd people who were polled, 24 percent of them said they wouldn't support ANY of the ridiculous "countermeasures". That is actually a really good number. If that number represents the general feeling country wide that means around 84 MILLION people would say NO if these monsters try to do the same thing they did previously. Believe me... they are going to try. Courage is something that doesn't come naturally in most cases... one has to face fears to develop courage and it's hard. We *must* commit to practicing bravery/courage every single day to be ready for the next insane thing the demonic engineers have cooked up for us... whether it's a "virus" or something else...
Plus, I can tell you that in polls about vaccines, a considerable minority lie and say what they think the govt wants to hear.
CDC uses polls to determine how many people took flu shots. One year, according to the CDC polls, more people took flu shots than there were doses of flu shots available in the US.
People are not stupid. They don't want to be labeled anti vaxxers on a survey. So I expect the number of resisters to be higher even than the poll numbers.
"why aren’t we all diseased, all the time?"--because (as most normal people learn), we spend time with each other (and in lieu of spending time with our animals all winter, we now dunk their meat in bleach).
Herd immunity, or lack thereof--dummkopf really has no idea how our populations have encountered each other. I bet he has an opinion on the Native Americans vs poxy Spaniards if he's told to, though!
You recently asked your readers to suggest ways that your voice will have more impact. This is the kind of essay which you are really good at crafting.
It's very difficult to get someone to drop what they think about something, like vaccines/pandemic responses, etc. unless you point out the BS in what their trusted sources are saying.
This is the kind of article your readers can use to prepare themselves for that conversation over Thanksgiving dinner when family members with differing ideas are forced to sit across from each other. It's also something that can be shared judiciously.
Stopping smoking? I don't like that advice. First of all, the low-hanging fruit has been harvested there. The only people still smoking are not going to be easily persuaded to stop. And I for one think it's their right to continue, if they think it's worth it to them. Secondly, I thought smokers fared BETTER with COVID than non-smokers. There are known reasons for that, and that's what happened. At least I've read it from what seems reliable sources. You'll never read it in the NYT of course. "Stop smoking" is a throw-away line always repeated, it's time has passed. I quit 40 years ago because overall it's a bad idea, unless you love it so much you're willing to pay the price. It's supposed to be a free country.

I played chess too, as a child for 4 years...I learned not to make a move without thinking of the results...

Democracy is the theory that the people know what they want and deserve to get it good and hard.

Just unbelievable how stupid the Times think we are .
Such bullshit.
And what a whore to do their bidding.

Democracy may die in darkness, but the truth dies in print.
Particularly if the NYT and WAPO are involved.

Thanks, Warrior Sister; I'll include this in today's Thanksgiving post.
HappyThanksgiving!

Doctors
That are waking up
To a nightmare
Of their own making.

That ignorant young punk at The NYT disgusts me. He's a national embarrasment.
You can see the seething arrogance on that guy!
Next time the government should not prevent people from getting effective treatment.

Remember it is the Center for Disease CONTROL (not elimination).
Also, hear, hear!

Thank you for this piece.
Polls are ~so~ interesting to dig into. The NYT's especially.

Less Parkinson's disease in smokers btw.
Interesting!
