My family members, friends and I have not always seen eye to eye regarding political issues, covid issues, vaccine issues (although just in the past couple of months I've noticed we're getting more and more aligned and that there has been a change in attitude and people are waking up). But then none of us live in the heavily polarised and propagandised US (sorry to say); we live in various other places around the world. I may not agree 100% with all your cross-postings but I appreciate them in general. If I don't agree, I just ignore it. If I agree, I think about what info I've learned from it so that I can share it. I'm honestly dismayed to see the kind of ugly remarks people make in this comments section. It's almost like their identity and ideology is so weak, it cannot stand up to any differing views especially after they obviously subscribed to you because they valued what you had to say.

Bam's avatar

I agree with almost all the above and that’s why I posted what I posted. I feel Meryl may be wrong on this one and chose to comment. I rarely comment but felt compelled to after reading this. The others I read and ignored for the most part. This one I couldn’t.

MSB's avatar

Sorry, I'm unsure why you're responding to me as I wasn't making a reference to your comments. In fact at the time of typing my own comment, I hadn't even read all of yours. I was speaking in general about how some people respond with ugly remarks. But even if I had read all your remarks, which I have done now, I'd not have included you in the "ugly" part at all.

Bam's avatar

I only commented on your thread because i agreed with most of what you are saying, and because i don't usually reply or comment on the threads. But rather than "ignore" what i was reading, this time, i actually felt compelled to say something because as much as I usually enjoy reading anything Meryl, I felt that she wasn't seeing things clearly. Your message was explaining what i was feeling. I wasn't considering myself when you talk of the ugly remarks, it was all your comment above that i was referring to. The bit couldn't "just ignore it" anymore. It was in context in my mind. More me speaking my mind as opposed to a reply to you directly. if that makes any sense.

Okay, I see. Thanks for taking the trouble to clarify.

RIght!

I am increasingly worried that our President Trump and Christian fundamental Secretary of Defense actually wants to encourage an "end of days" situation. What a clever way to distract from Epstein and then think that an end of days will (somehow) lead to the wishful Jesus' return. HOWEVER, if Jesus does return, he is goinna be very pissed that Trump hasn't learned ANY of his primary messages.

Yeah, we are living in interesting times.

la chevalerie vit's avatar

‘actually wants to encourage an "end of days" situation’ is quite a leap that I’m not buying. I’m also not buying the slurs against Christians.

It is not a slur...it is a concern.

I calls it as I reads it.

TomL's avatar

"Christian-zionism" is an oxymoron and Hal Lindsay/John Hagee style "Christianity" are heretical and demonic. The idea that God is going to be blackmailed into sending His son back to save the day is as evil as it was when Jesus was hanging on the cross and His enemies the Pharisees were calling on Him to call on God to rescue him.

Matthew Gardner's avatar

Yeah we are all going to meet Jesus . The wrong way🤪

Joseph A Gorski's avatar

Let’s use our collective consciousness to think positive thoughts. We are often told we create our own reality; let millions of us imagine a better world. It seems impossible, but why not try? Continue to educate ourselves and others about the evil in the world (of course), but stay in high vibrations while doing it.

Until I leave the house and I’m faced with looking at all of the homeless people living in the woods and along our highways. I was thinking I could do this the other day- I even had good 80’s music playing. It only lasted about 5 minutes.

bilboda's avatar

baloney, you present a clearly political group of fantasy statements as someone speaking clearly. You keep piling up anti-Trump politicos because you want to purport he is evil and Israel is running us into the ground. I have grown tired of Iran bitch slapping us at every confrontation until we just ship them billions in cash like good ho's. You apparently enjoy it. To each their own.

SaHiB's avatar

Where's the dislike button?

Amy Lauschke's avatar

Concerning the grift part, go and read up about Trump's family bitcoin investments and how the Middle Eastern princes etc bought a huge chunk of this bitcoin investments from the family business.

bilboda's avatar

I own bitcoin and sell it for a variety of reasons, none of which have to do with grift. So was it sold at a profit or loss? Does it matter and WTF does this have to do with being bitch slapped by Iran?

Jean-Louis Kandala's avatar

You are victim of propaganda. The cash was part of Iran’s own money blocked in the US. Iran almost never attacked the US. The US and Israel are accusing Iran of false deed that they, inversely, indulge in such terrorism, theft, etc… for the supposed good of humanity.

bilboda's avatar

I know where the money was from. We were not compelled to return it. " Iran almost never attacked the US..." Why does almost never absolve them and WTF do you mean by that?

Jean-Louis Kandala's avatar

Can’t you see that the Us and Israel have destroyed the whole Middle East pretending that all their regimes, be they lay or religious, are terrorists while they actually want to subdue all these countries and exploit all their riches leaving their people in total misery? If you do not understand that your government do not give a dam about their own citizens and that they are beholden to lobbies and billionaires whom they are designed to serve in priority, you will run from one deception to another. Democracies should not be plutocracies or a network of gangsters collaborating for their sole benefit, pumping upward the nation’s wealth leaving the people with huge debts they will never able to honour.

Tim Pallies's avatar

It's possible that we could find a middle ground. Something between shipping billions in cash and bombing them back to the stone age.

bilboda's avatar

That would be the ending of the Islamic regime, their total surrender and the restoration of the government to the Persian people. I'd estimate 90% of the population that identifies as Muslim does so out of fear of retribution. Get rid of the terrorists. That's the middle ground. This must be done as they feed the jihadists here in the USA who must be remigrated. Bad enough that Obama and his mini me Biden gave them the financial means to harm us but they also welcomed the terrorists into our country. This must be fixed.

Jean-Louis Kandala's avatar

I share your view about this voluntary organized invasion of your country as is also the case in most European countries. Globalists and their puppets in the various 3 letter agencies are behind this sabotage and they want to destroy our identities and cultures by provoking civil wars inside our countries in view of the great reset and one world government. Just guess who has been advocating the clash of civilizations and wants to get rid of both Christian and Islamic civilizations.

Thought about this

Based on my search results, here's an overview of Lawrence Wilkerson and his credentials:

Who is Lawrence Wilkerson?

Lawrence B. Wilkerson (born June 15, 1945) is a retired United States Army Colonel with 31 years of military service who later became a prominent critic of U.S. foreign policy in the Middle East.

Military Credentials

31-year Army career including combat tours in Vietnam and the Gulf War

Qualified through Airborne and Ranger schools

Served as a "Pacific hand" with assignments in Korea, Japan, and Hawaii

Faculty member at the U.S. Naval War College (1987-1989)

Deputy Director of the Marine Corps War College at Quantico

Retired as a Colonel

Government Service

His most notable position was serving as Chief of Staff to Secretary of State Colin Powell from 2002-2005. In this role, he:

Played a key role in drafting Powell's 2003 UN Security Council presentation on Iraq

Later publicly criticized that presentation and the Iraq War

Was involved in senior staff roles under Powell during his tenure as National Security Advisor (Reagan administration), Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff (Gulf War), and Secretary of State

Education

Bachelor of Arts in English literature from Bucknell University

Graduate degrees in international relations and national security studies

Attended the U.S. Army War College

Views on Iran

Since leaving government, Wilkerson has emerged as a vocal critic of potential U.S. military action against Iran. His positions include:

Argues any U.S.-Iran conflict would be unconstitutional, strategically catastrophic, and unwinnable

Describes Iran as the "hegemon of the Persian Gulf" with an "immense" missile arsenal

Claims Iran could strike Israel in a single day with its missile capabilities

Emphasizes Iran's military resilience and conventional force expansion

Has stated that Iran's destabilizing actions profit from regional chaos

Credibility Assessment

Strengths:

Direct experience at the highest levels of U.S. foreign policy decision-making

Military expertise in the region spanning decades

Access to classified information during his government service

Considerations:

His views are controversial and represent a minority position among U.S. policymakers

He has been critical of both U.S. policy and Israel, which affects how different audiences receive his analysis

Some of his specific claims (like Iran's capability to "bring down Israel in a single day") are disputed by other defense analysts

His credentials give him authority to speak on these topics, though his conclusions remain debated within policy and defense communities.“

I know I shouldn't be surprised, but Trump was supposedly duped during "COVID"... and they did it to him again! I knew we were in for a wild ride when I saw who Trump was appointing after he was (s)elected: Susie Wiles? Seriously? Rubbing elbows with the monster Lindsey Graham? Seriously? Hosting Bill Gates at the White House 5 times? Seriously? Pulling the chair out for the war criminal Netanyahu? Seriously?? How anyone who has run businesses their entire life couldn't see through these people is beyond me. All of us who have just a tiny bit of discernment could see where this was all headed and yet he couldn't?

No matter which D or R was in charge, we would be in a war with Russia, China, or Iran. Too much testosterone and greed on the planet! Time for the People to wake up and take charge? Let them eat cake just doesn't cut it anymore.

TDoug's avatar

I have a couple points to make.

Everybody (with the possible exception of a deranged President) knew a war with Iran would be a disaster. Crippling the world's energy supplies is the real objective of the Satanic Cult that controls the scary clowns like Trump and Nuttyyahoo. Why? For one it is pure evil and that of course is always good for the Satanists. Triggering the Great Reset and depopulation are known objectives.

This war is not for the security of Israel. Everybody knew from the 12 day trial run last June that our missile defense could not protect Israel. The Satanic Cult doesn't care about the people living in Israel. All the politicians that claim to be pro-Israel are actually just being conned into serving the Satanic Cult.

If this drags on we are facing massive supply chain disruptions and energy cost increases. All the prices of energy and the stock market are being rigged now by emergency measures by the government. Reality can only be hidden for a month or two. Prep now. Panic now.

There are no good defenses against large numbers of missiles. The only real protection is PEACE achieved through serious diplomacy. This should be a huge wake up call for Europe, South Korea, Taiwan and others who have placed their faith in in being protected by the Department of War.

The proposed Golden Dome is probably going to be a huge fraud and waste of money.

TDoug's avatar

I should mention Ukraine. The people of Ukraine have been totally betrayed by the Satanic Cult. The media doesn't care. Our politicians don't care. Over a million dead and still taking over 30000 casualties a month. Ukraine is now just a platform for the Satanic Cult to launch hundreds of drone into Russia every day and Russia returns the favor.

No, it's not "hatred". It's disappointment. I voted for Trump in 2016 because he stated he was against wars. But, now Mr. Trump "bone spurs" is an unabashed warmonger. He's actually reveling in it; and, many of his MAGA-tards are right there with him.

I'm a Vietnam-era veteran who enlisted in the USAF for four years to avoid being drafted into the Army and being sent straight to 'Nam, which was started by a U.S. military false flag. I was lucky to spend a year studying Chinese Mandarin at DLIWC in Monterey, CA and another year studying the Korean language at DLIEC in Arlington, VA, before being deployed to South Korea for 13 months.

@realDonaldTrump We should not sit and wait for the next attack, wipe Iran's ballistic capability out and get our troops out of Iraq - they are only targets now.

No US WIA/KIA is a tribute to the professionalism of our military and intel professionals not Iranian restraint.

Hi Meryl ,You might want to do some research around the "bombing Little girls in school". Coffee & Covid did a good piece on it March 13th. I know you don't like what's going on with this, however, by now you should know the propaganda that comes out when his surname is Trump.

Meryl Nass's avatar

The USG admitted it bombed the school. And there have been many more since, Adding the info to the article above.

michael janket's avatar

The slimy US government via Senator John Kennedy said the school demolition was an "accident". Who in their right mind would say this? Kennedy is a good ol' boy redneck, just another warhawk bowing down to "our great ally in the Middle East". Just love how our bought and paid-for Congress kisses Israeli ass.

Bam's avatar

The base is the Sayyid al-Shuhada military complex— the headquarters of the Asif Brigade of the IRGC Navy. It’s not some random army outpost. It is an IRGC Naval command headquarters on Iran’s most strategically critical coastline overlooking the Strait of Hormuz. The school building’s history makes it even more damning.

According to open-source satellite imagery, the school was originally walled inside the IRGC compound as recently as 2013. In 2016, they built a fence between the base and the school, a thin facade allowing the Times to mendaciously call it “adjacent to” the base instead of “part of” the base.

But to be perfectly clear: this was a building that was literally inside an IRGC Naval headquarters compound until about ten years ago, on property that the IRGC built, next door to an active naval brigade HQ, in the most militarily sensitive province in Iran. And the Times’ framing was that America should have known it was “a school” and avoided strikes on the base.

Meryl Nass's avatar

The NYT yesterday said 498 schools have been struck in 2 weeks of bombings. I posted it at the bottom of the article.

Bam's avatar

498 schools, according to the Iranians and the NYT. If they put schools “with students” into strategic military sites, then you must question their intentions no? Who does that? and according to your sources lets kids come to those schools whilst the country is being bombed? If you don’t see that as propaganda, then I guess that’s your prerogative. You know how reliable the NYT is nowadays.

Meryl Nass's avatar

Now you are fantasizing that 498 schools were placed inside military bases, an evidence-free assertion. A straw man tactic.

Provide the evidence or get lost. I hate people who make stuff up and then build a whole narrative on their falsehood.

Bam's avatar

I didn't actually say they placed 498 schools inside military bases. I was talking about the 1 that was bombed, which was sitting next to a strategic Naval command, and whilst bombs are raining down on their country, they let the children come to school? I know my grammar isn't always great. Apologies if it came across to differently than what I intended. If as you stated, that 498 schools have been bombed, I feel like that would be the biggest story in the world. I was really questioning why you'd use the NYT as a source to legitimize such a story. Also, If you would like a different take on the war, please have a read of this article in Aljazeera - https://www.aljazeera.com/opinions/2026/3/16/the-us-israeli-strategy-against-iran-is-working-here-is-why
