What it does do, which isn't being discussed, is it makes International waters less safe and secure. All undersea pipes and cables in International waters are now fair game, including possible retaliation for this terrorist attack.

Radek Sikorski---husband to über neocon Russia-hater reporter Anne Applebaum, "Thank you, USA."

Just one big extended neocon family, the Nuland-Kagans, Applebaum, Blinken, the list goes in and on in revenge seeking from the old Pale of Settlement. Vicious and vengeful, none of whom gives a flying phxk for anyone but themselves and their war on the world.

How did we allow this to happen? They are driving our civilization, the world of living things, to utter catastrophe, perhaps even the extinction of us all. God help us.

Most of the existing 23 comments on this surprise me, rather. OK, so somebody blew up the pipeline taking Russian gas to Europe. Whodunnit? Well, cui bono (who benefits)? First of all, it probably wasn't Russia, because (a) if they didn't want to keep supplying gas to Europe, they wouldn't need to blow up their own pipeline -- they could just say sorry, we're not sending you any more gas (at least until you promise to keep NATO off our doorstep). And anyway (b) Russia kind of needs the money from that gas, don't they? Wars are expensive. So it was probably NOT Russia. No. It probably WAS Biden Inc, because (1) Old Joe is right there on record SAYING he could and would do it! (2) It sure looks like something the CIA might do if regime change in Russia were deemed desirable -- it means less money coming in for Russia, and their people are already leaving in droves because they don't want to be conscripted to fight in the Ukraine, so this might well be the straw that breaks the camel's back and causes them to toss Putin out. And (3) this pitches Europe into an unpleasantly cold upcoming winter, which has immediately doubled the sadly sliding value of the US dollar against the Euro, because Europe will need heating materials from somewhere -- and the US has plenty. So really guys, it seems to me that there is absolutely no need to postulate all sorts of other unlikely culprits. Occam's razor (the simplest explanation is usually the right one) says it was Joe and Co wot blew up the pipeline. Doesn't it??

Joey the peedofile, oh wait, that is just heresay.

Ah, joeey is blowing his political capitol.

Russia is laughing at the clown show, saying we can fix the shit too.

The dead fish and birds won't be laughing.

I have been seeing the same dead bird on the side of the highway for weeks, and others nearby.

My cat is asking why ?

Why are we killing all life for no reason?

Just for power and more roads going nowhere.

I feel like a slave to the suicide of our society, is there another on offer?

The pipes did not start leaking...just like that. Someone used around 120kg explosives to make them "leak". I cant help but wonder...in waters infested with US submarines who could be diving with 120kg explosives? I cant think of anyone...hmmm can you?

Or it may be in collaboration with Poland

Perhaps we ought also to see it in terms in terms of the deliberate destruction of infrastructure elsewhere, food stores, food production across the US, the big oil plant in Ohio last week, Rungis food distribution centre near Paris last week. None of this stuff ever ever seems to be investigated or explained. Of course, now we can only expect escalation.

I don't understand why Europe doesn't revolt against US influence and how we've ruined them. First by creating the virus, then the overblown pandemic, then pushing the deadly shots that benefit US corporate interests, and finally throwing dirt on the grave of their economy with this Ukraine proxy war.

This only benefits the anti-energy fools, who have been praying to Gaia for just an “accident” like this to ban all pipelines. Funny, Germany is negotiating a deal to purchase hydrogen fuel from Canada, a ludicrous substitute for nuclear or natural gas, but why apply logic when planning Armageddon?

Also, the Baltic is littered with Cold War era submarine pens, where NATO deploys special forces elements, purely for “training.”
