As a licensed California physician I find this likely the worst thing that has happened in the decades that I have been licensed. This is the end of any kind of physician/patient relationship. The doctor will now have to recite the State Diktat regarding everything or lose their license.
This will just cause more of us to flee the state (I have several other licenses and use them) and will deprecate health care in California even more...hard to imagine, considering.
The medical societies have been useless with regard to this bill, sponsored by State Senator Pan, probably the worst physician in the history of politics. Even the doctor associations are overrun with far left ideologues in control positions -- they think this is great.
Only a lawsuit will stop this eventually, but the fact that it would get this far and that no one is shouting it from the hilltops is scandalous.

I write this as I sit in the dark because of power conservation restrictions. Meanwhile Newsom wants to go all electric vehicles?! What an epic disaster of an idea! We can’t even buy gas lawn mowers here now. Yet big corporations continue to dump single use plastics into the oceans and landfills. Im a former Dem (now Independent) who voted Republican for the first time in the primaries and will do so again at mid terms. These policies have to go!
Thank you, Meryl. That AB2098 has progressed this far is frankly terrifying. I hope it will be challenged in court the instant it is official (because let’s face it, we cannot count on Newsom to veto it, although we should still bombard him with requests to irritate him).
I addressed that and California’s other medical tyranny bills in this piece:
I sent his office a message that the 'Vaccines" are not safe and effective, news is coming out that birth rates are declining and excess mortality of 18-55 soared after the jabs, and that covid policy killed far more globally than covid. I told him if the valued his political future he would not sign such a fabricated bill.
We will know Mass Formation Psychosis is alive and well in Dem circles, and hungry for blood, if he signs this and by the national Dem response.
Proof that early treatment works is right there in Imperial County CA. Last I heard the two doctors and their clinics have treated 10,000 covid patients and maybe 4 ended up in the hospittal.
They were an early success using Peter McCullouch and Dr Z's protocol along with X-rays. And the contacted the state officials to let them know, but they didn't hear.
In the early months I used to tell people that this group treated 7,000 patients in the poor area of Imperial County which is on the border of Mexico and AZ and that should have been enough to convince people. I called a friend in CA and told him to go there from the LA area if he got covid.

Last night I watched Dallas Buyers Club for the first time since it was in theaters. A prequel to now Only at the end they said they lowered the dose of AZT which saved millions of lives.
I sent my objections a couple of days ago. It is a tragedy the bill got this far. I just keep thinking this can't be legal. Senator Pan and Senator Wiener are ruining what Nuisance hasn't ruined. Those of us left with a thinking brain and not playing partisan politics tried to get rid of him in the last election.
I hope that every reader goes to the PERK website and participates in the one click email to Mr. Newsom. At last check, only 1,000 had sent emails asking him to Veto AB 2098
