THESE THINGS CANNOT BE REGULATED. THERE IS AN INTERNATIONAL TREATY THAT PREVENTS THIS KIND OF RESEARCH BECAUSE IT'S SO DANGEROUS AND IT'S STILL HAPPENING EVERYWHERE. WHO IS NOT THE ONE TO ENFORCE THIS...IN FACT, THEY ARE THE MOST CORRUPT POSSIBLE SOLUTION.

God forbid. These treasonous idiots need to be reined in.

Trust the WHO? I think not. They need to be prosecuted.

Give WHO more money and more power because they’ve done such a bang-up job already? I think not. Plus, we don’t want a world government.

“our dear director general of WHO”

He left out genocidal war criminal 😆

Gee, that sounds just like Yuval Noah Harari’s admonition that the WHO should be granted more funding:

“The skeleton of such a global anti-plague system already exists in the shape of the World Health Organization and several other institutions. But the budgets supporting this system are meagre, and it has almost no political teeth. We need to give this system some political clout and a lot more money, so that it won’t be entirely dependent on the whims of self-serving politicians.

“As noted earlier, I don’t believe that unelected experts should be tasked with making crucial policy decisions. That should remain the preserve of politicians. But some kind of independent global health authority would be the ideal platform for compiling medical data, monitoring potential hazards, raising alarms, and directing research and development.”

I continue to LOVE your writing and your ongoing breakthroughs on your subjects. One heads-up, Jeffrey Sachs is not a Nobel Laureate, though maybe you're reading the future!?

Personally, I am suspicious that the WHO has not even tried to take leadership on the subject of biohazards...and they avoid it for the same reasons that the CDC doesn't even want to have a sound system to evaluate vaccine safety. These organizations WANT to ignore these subjects because they would be stepping on BIG toes of Big Pharma and Big Banks.

The genuinely tragic thing is that, I do believe that Sachs, is sincerely naive as a lifelong modernist who ran a global institute at Columbia for years, and someone who believes that Western knowledge is absolutely essential to stop global poverty. In his interview with Robert Kennedy, he was shocked that members of the Lancet committee he oversaw to determine origins of the virus were actually lying to him -- including a good friend of over 20 years. He dismantled the committee and started from scratch. His problem is that he cannot get beyond his trust in these global institutions and their members -- even as he confronts evidence that they are not deserving his trust. It really saddens me that he continues to hold blind faith in them, even as he honestly seems to be seeking truth.

I wondered how long it would take him to twist the "lab leak" explanation into support for his globalist agenda.

Keep up the good work Meryl. I follow you regularly on CHD. You do an incredible job. I’m a cardiac surgeon who lived in Maine for 2 years when I was in the PHS. Sorry about you all to common deplatfoming experience with your license. Would love to meet you in person some day.

Thanks Meryl. I guess I am concerned about the Lancet Commission Report on COVID due to a strong focus on vaccines, implementing measures (let's just call them mandates against the people), and also providing WHO with more power (not with their performance during COVID). Within the report I could not read where human, medical, and civil rights would be respected. It certainly seems that giving more power to the health industry is the last thing we need to do (Big Pharma would love this). Locking up healthy people, supporting experimental vaccines, masks, is not what I would call a favourable report. Anyway - just my thoughts as I do not want to live in a society where the health directions dictate my freedoms. In terms of the possible origin of the virus they have not spoken about space. A great book to read is "Diseases from Space" - Regards Mick

The crazies have come out from behind (on top?) of their ivory towers. The more I see this kind of total nut case arguments, the more I see the transhumanists' desperation and that they are overplaying their hand more and more ostentatiously. The semi-asleep are beginning to wake up to the craziness of thought, the craziness of pretzelised logic. So interesting.

So, two days ago I tried to respond to Shaun Griffin’s report of Sachs’ Commission in BMJ with this letter which so far they have failed to publish as a Rapid Response despite being succinct and closely based on public documents:-

Re: Covid-19: Commission describes “massive global failures” of pandemic response - the cost of following the wHO?

Dear Editor

I wish to record what happened in the United Kingdom [1]. On 19 March 2020 the Four Nations HCID Group put out this notice [2]:

“ As of 19 March 2020, COVID-19 is no longer considered to be a high consequence infectious disease (HCID) in the UK. There are many diseases which can cause serious illness which are not classified as HCIDs.

“The 4 nations public health HCID group made an interim recommendation in January 2020 to classify COVID-19 as an HCID. This was based on consideration of the UK HCID criteria about the virus and the disease with information available during the early stages of the outbreak. Now that more is known about COVID-19, the public health bodies in the UK have reviewed the most up to date information about COVID-19 against the UK HCID criteria. They have determined that several features have now changed; in particular, more information is available about mortality rates (low overall), and there is now greater clinical awareness and a specific and sensitive laboratory test, the availability of which continues to increase.

“The ACDP (Advisory Committee on Dangerous Pathogens) is also of the opinion that COVID-19 should no longer be classified as an HCID...”

. What then happened? It seems that the Government decided to ignore the in-house advice and pursue an agenda dictated by the World Health Organization although the advice from both committees has never been changed [2]:

“ The World Health Organization (WHO) continues to consider COVID-19 as a Public Health Emergency of International Concern (PHEIC), therefore the need to have a national, coordinated response remains and this is being met by the government’s COVID-19 response.”

In fact, in answer to a Parliamentary question Health Minister Jo Churchill told John Redwood [3]:

“The four nations public health high consequence infectious disease (HCID) group made an interim recommendation in January 2020 to classify COVID-19 as an HCID, based on the information that was available during the very early stages of the outbreak.

“Once more was known about COVID-19, United Kingdom public health bodies reviewed the available information against the HCID criteria and noted certain changes. These changes included the increase in information available about mortality rates, which are low overall amongst the general population; greater clinical awareness; and the availability of a specific and sensitive laboratory test for the virus.

“COVID-19 has not been considered a HCID in the UK since 19 March 2020, but this reclassification has not affected the Government’s response to COVID-19, which remains a comprehensive national effort.”

In other words social and economic catastrophe has been visited on our country by adhering to the diktats of an outside entity, the WHO.

He got the origin of the virus right and completely missed out on the WHO. He had an interesting interview with Bobby Kennedy Jr. on the origin of the virus and sounded like he believed it originated in Wuhan with Fauci support. Kennedy suggested he read his book on The Real Anthony Fauci. Unfortunately, it doesn’t look like he did. Sad.
