How tragic, that we are weighing this crap on our children so they live lives of misery waiting for their world to end. What bull. Have to paint with a broad brush but dems love gloom and doom.

It's time to teach our children just how much CO2 is in the atmosphere. It's so very small, it's not hard to "double" it, as they have claimed.

Also read The Tuttle Twins series as a family and buy a set or two for your schools. It's not about the environment but it is about government and politics and has a lot of good points that even some adults may not know.

I wonder if they even allow those books to stay in there. I've heard stories of librarians removing decent books, while leaving the crappy ones. I sometimes wonder if donated books at public libraries that don't meet the narrative also get destroyed so that they aren't available to let others know what to watch out for.

Just last night two library employee friends of mine confirmed this is happening in our rural Oregon County. The books are torn apart and recycled.

That sucks... censorship lives. Even in those who profess to promote open literacy. I wonder if they've read Fahrenheit 451, before destroying the book.

I’m still waiting for that acid rain to destroy everything. A few weeks ago I was in our local bird seed store. Usually a bunch of leftist in and this time was no exception. She was griping something about plastic and the coral reefs (blah, blah). I told her “well, you wanted us to stop using paper bags because it was killing trees and use plastic bags.” She just stared at me....while the cashier busted out laughing.

And I'll bet this same person supported -- nay -- demanded -- that we use those blue plastic snot pouches over our noses and mouths, which has caused a worldwide environmental disaster. https://www.businessinsider.com/disposable-face-mask-waste-toxic-poison-water-nanoplastics-pollution-health-2022-2?op=1

In LA County food prep workers have to wear gloves. It is so cringy seeing all that plastic being wasted. And it is all for visual because workers in the kitchens do not.

@Meryl: time to make up your mind. You support RFK jr for president and he's a big supporter of WEF climate propaganda. He's even said climate skeptics should be jailed: https://twitter.com/wideawake_media/status/1649678578223575041

That clip is chilling no doubt about it, but I don't think it represents who he is today. I lost a friend because I didn't protest the Iraq war invasion. I couldn't wrap my head around a government lying to the people about WMD. I now realize what a crime it was.

Here is a great and scientific look at the history of climate change. It completely, 'inconveniently'? eviscerates Gore. (And calls into question the value of Herb's rant, below, which suggests that data points are valuable regardless of their context or efficacy in the making of reasonable decisions.)

Help us Lord Jesus to live life in response to who YOU are, not in reaction to the this world. We ask You to give revelation to those who are currently FAR from You, that they might know Your love and be set free from the plan of the enemy.

Amen and thank you., Humans have become more ignorant of the truth, love and power of God. He created everything in our world for us. He is in charge. If we humans would just thank Him, worship and praise Him, study His word, and sit and listen to what He wants each of us to do. Instead, we take off making decisions on our own without consulting Him, and we really mess up. Stop, make time with God, pray and listen. He will show each of us the way, if we move forward trusting Him. His will for us may not be our own will for ourselves, nor easy, but it will be the best for us. Read the 10 Commandments in Exodus every day. I’m not a preacher. I’m just old and I know God has a plan. Let’s just take care of His creation the best we can every day, and teach our children to do the same.. We often forget to teach and model for our children how to follow God’s way ---that He wrote down for us. Our short visit to Earth is course 101 on “life on Earth” using God’s possessions because He owns everything. We own nothing. He allows us to use whatever we have until we leave. Nothing goes with us. Take care of God’s possessions, and share whenever you can. What an amazing universe He created and Satan wants us to destroy it and ourselves. Ignore the wicked one and follow the one who created you and loves you. If people would only do what He asks of us, I guess we’d be living in the Garden of Eden.

"Saving the planet" has little to do with environmental issues as that trite logo actually refers to saving the planet for 6,000 billionaires who want to regularly fly private jets, own multiple palatial estates, control all food production and clean water supplies while the remaining population is herded into dismal boxes within 15 minute cities.

"climate change" is such a fake term, the climate has been changing every year since the last ice age. This April in Seattle has been the coolest since 1970, they had to go back 50 years to find a cooler month of April - we've also had record snow pack in the mountains over Winter, and checkout California snow this year, wow! But last couple years we've had some triple digit summers in Seattle, which have never happened before. I notice in these events climatologists were using a new term I haven't heard before, they said it was a "heat dome". Interesting, I think that air conditioning shooting hot air up into the atmosphere is creating "heat domes". It would be interesting to see if there's a correlation between increasing heat waves and increasing use of air conditioning over time. If so, that's pretty easy to fix. But yes, the whole thing has been politicized to ridiculous points which (if we can learn anything from Pfizer and the pandemic) is probably ALL about making money. Notice that Al Core (Mr CO2 is killing us) how has a net worth over $100M. When he was elected Vice President his net worth was under $1M. Hmmm....

Grandpa (reading a scary bedtime story to a grandkid): ... and when I was in school, we were told a GIIIIIANT NUCLEAR BOMB would blow up nearby, and that we could hide under our desks and be SAFE!

Grandkid (eyes wide open): Nuh-UH!

Grandpa: It's true!

grandkid: I was told by Ms.. well.. Mr. Smith now, that that's all fake news and disinformation.

Grandpa (rolling eyes): Who are you going to believe? Her.. er, He/Him? Or someone whose actually had kids and grandkids, because she.. uh.. he will never have kids. And people like that will be the death of humanity.

grandkid: Nuh-UHHHH. He says he's so happy!

Grandpa: Trust me. She...he is miserable. Why do you think they paid good money to change who they are and got a job trying to convince everyone else that they're happy?

grandkid: Hmm.. good point.

Thus far for the third year in a row, spring is 7 weeks behind schedule where I live in the Midwest. First week of May...cold, rainy and dreary. If global warming was real, we'd be experiencing summer like weather in the spring and fall constantly...the opposite is happening. The global warming crowd can go to the devil.

Excellent. It's really helpful for folks to see how long perception has been managed; agendas pushed via scientific 'experts'. (I really feel bad for new scientists, it's gonna take a while before credibility is restored.) I hope this breaks the trance for many. Thanks.

Oh dear. This is going to make the catastrophisers very, very cross. Let me make one definite prediction here - they will immediately start jumping up and down and saying that Epoch Times and this channel is being funded by Big Oil. 😂 I guess it's not yet time to be pointing fingers and asking the "other side" if they're being funded by "Big Renewable Energy"? 😉

One has to ask - to what end are these dire predictions continuously being made?

Clearly, the one reason is that bad news sells. It is manifestly obvious that this is great business for the news rags. Turns out that the NYT and Guardian are no better than the Sun or the Daily Mirror. They're just catering to richer audiences and have fancier title fonts. The rich are no "better" than the poor in their appetite for end-of-world doomsday mongering. (I can just hear the cries of "oh, but we're educated!")

And the second reason, of course, is that this is a glorious opportunity to spawn a huge new production frenzy of renewable energy gadgetry, posing under the guise of "sustainability" and "green energy". Never mind that China will be burning megatons of coal to produce all of the panels, turbines, batteries, and allied gizmos and widgets that we are already seeing flood the markets. They don't mind the pollution. Or that we won't know what to do with the damned things once they break ("Recycle" them? Bury'em?) Or that little kids are mining lithium in the Congo so that we can run our lights at night to watch Netflix. They don't mind a little bit of exploitation - at least they can get a few cents for their efforts, right? Just so long as it's NIMBY.

Sure, maybe mankind's legendary innovativeness will eventually produce a battery the size of a Rubik cube which is made out of sand and will last for a year. This is where the universities are licking their lips in anticipation of all the luvly grant money that will be pouring in. I'm sure the experts won't be swayed by this. At all. Or be skewing their data or suffering from any confirmation bias while supporting the somewhat dubious "net zero" narrative. Not at all. We trust our experts and scientific "consensus". (Galileo was the exception, silly. An aberration.)

In the meantime, let's just switch off all the coal and nuclear plants and gas lines and force all people, rich and poor alike, to buy all of these shiny new toys. What? The poor can't afford it? Or the galloping rise in prices of traditional energy supply? Too bad! "Let them eat solar panels!".

Yep. We must all tighten our belts. Eat less. Stop eating meat. Kill cattle or put methane masks and fart nappies on them (hopefully they'll just want to kill themselves - can't be cruel to animals now, can we?) Cook mealworm pancakes. Go to bed at six. Have less children. Convince our own kids that they shouldn't either (never mind - the fear-mongering has convinced them already). Have your annual holiday in the park down the road (or maybe be granted a sanctioned trip to the seaside with your monthly subscription on your friendly public-private sponsored solar bus - if you were a good citizen, of course). Sell your carbon credits to our newly lockdown-minted billionaires and upper crust elites so they can fly to the Bahamas on your behalf (somebody's got to do it, right? Shame. Poor things.)

Yadayadayada. There are all SORTS of wonderful new money-making opportunities while we frogmarch humankind on a Malthusian journey over the proverbial lemming cliff. It's not about money or control - NEVER! It's all for the "common good"! Where have we heard that before?

In the meantime, I'm tempted, next time our university holds yet another cataclysmic and breathless "were all gonna die, but come see what we're doing about it" seminar - I think I might just don my sandles, a white robe, frizz my hair and put a sandwich board round my neck saying:

THE END IS NOT NIGH

Damned if I'm going to let these crisis-profiteers turn my kids into despairing nihilists. I don't care what names they throw at me. This is an existentialist fight for the souls and bodies of our children. Best that other mothers start wising up soon.
