Somehow I hung into my job just long enough for my family doctor to finally find the courage to sign my medical exemption I requested due to a small heart attack I had in late 2020 because my provincial Canadian government ‘relaxed’ it’s mandates at the end of February 2022. I’m unvaxxed. I still work for my deplorable government employer, but I’m now seeking a way out after 21 years. It’s been a rough year, but nothing compares to what many vaxxed are now facing. My husband who was working from home also lost his job. The union apparently registered a (group) grievance for at-home workers, but never proceeded . He was eventually recalled, but our individual grievance (we had to file one ourselves for failure to honour his very well-detailed religious exemption which was accompanied by a sworn affidavit) hasn't been heard either. The union threw him under the bus, after all the money he's paid in dues. All the checks and balances we thought we had in Canada were illusions. The union turned really quickly too. I'd like to see an audit of their top people. Something really stinks, and it's not the St. Lawrence which they are still permitted to pollute liberally (pardon the pun).

Our unions are pathetic. as if we were all suggestible children who can be pushed any old way on the basis of something we hear on a podcast or read in a blog. i was NEVER going to take this vaccine just as i NEVER get a flu shot, have NEVER had a mammogram and a whole other long list of NEVERS.
i NEVER listened to Joe Rogan, had NEVER heard of Malone, McCollough, Kory, Weinstein and a whole slew of others. yes, i knew about Del Bigtree and the Highwire but i had NEVER heard a single episode.
i got suspicious all on my own, by myself, of my own free will. things looked wrong to me. the time to develop the vaccine was too short and there was too much pressure to take it. never in 40 years of being the costume director for the Spoleto Arts Festival was my job contingent upon a medical procedure. until it was. and then i walked away from the job.
i know who all those people are now! i listened to them, subscribed to them, contribute to them. they did not convince me to pass over "a free, safe, and effective vaccine" after misinformation clouded my judgment. i MADE the judgement first and then sought out the people who made sense to me.
