I pray we succeed, but I have a difficult time believing our legislators are as brain-dead as they would have to be to explain their seeming indifference to this whole issue. There's a reason Jefferson and Madison said an ignorant AND free people has never been and never will be. It's because of what they knew about the average politician (if not the vast majority of them).
Bill Gates as the single most influential person over WHO is far from a Maoist. The WHO is bad on its own for reasons of corruption and lack of scientific competence (nevermind integrity and rigour) and sneaky legislation. No need to introduce the iffy and dusty bugbears "communism" or "CCP" (which is actually called Communist Party of China or CPC). The issue is not even "socialism" but rather authoritarianism and corporate control of governments (aka fascism) and capitalism (wrt intellectual property and hijacking of media etc). If the WHO or the so-called Left was actually socialist they would not be advocating anything so egregiously counter to human rights and democracy.
