I gave up on Brave - the browser cannot even load the bookmark file from Vivaldi. So I use 'lame" duck for the standard stuff but Yandex for the sensitive issues like virology, immunology, biology, history that the duck et al for obvious reasons ignore.
Google has become evil indeed. Its business model is based on ads whereas it should be on providing accurate search results. Once a popup appeared on YT with a poll "how do you like the ads?" I wrote "Even when offered as a gift, I would refuse the advertised products" and never saw an ad again.
Be prepared to use it via alternative ways. Kaspersky recently was banned in the US and the censorship / sanctions regime won't stop there. The neofeudal agenda is important enough for the "owners of US & vassals" to play "all or nothing the nuclear way" no matter the amount of lives that will take.
I feel so encouraged by this! I live in British Columbia Chinada which has become a liberal/socialist republic. I will give serious consideration to relocating to Oklahoma or other states that pass laws like this!

The duck is no longer independent. Was bought out a while ago. Best search engines I’ve found are Yandex and Brave.

I started using it after discovery that none of the Western search engines produced results that should have been present.
It was a tip in the comment section of one of the Substacks that steered me to yandex.

Try FreeSpoke.com -- It has been returning unbiased answers for me for some months now. Seems to not store private data/inquries.
