The organic pastured egg suppliers have had only small culls and did not raise their egg prices, which are now cheaper than conventional eggs in many stores!
Instead of culling chickens, we'd have been ahead if we'd cull-remove from public circulation-senile Presidents, idiot Department of Agriculture type politicians, Masters in Public Health people who do not get any training in any type of disease process and treatment and and eugenicists like Bill Gates!
When I was a kid, my mom took me to the local egg farm. I got to see the non fertilized eggs in the light box and see the operation. It was local. That is the point. I loved my local and connected home. It was in central Maine.
My Dad was also a Maine chicken farmer, and part of my pre-homework work was to grade the day's eggs. First I had to sand them to get off any visible dirt and then put them on the moving scale to allow the heaviest ones roll down first as extra large, then large, medium, all the way to small on the last weight. Then milk our cow and on to homework an TV time.
We’ve had pastured eggs for over 25 years and there is nothing like the taste and that beautiful deep colored yellow yolks! I eat 3-4 for breakfast and I feed my lab two eggs with her breakfast every morning! They are super foods!
The Amish treat their chickens with homeopathic remedies. I buy organic duck and chicken eggs from Miller's Organic Farm in Pennsylvania and they are VERY expensive, but I'm sure locals can buy them much cheaper than I can. I'm looking now for a local farmer to buy directly from.
You are doing a good thing buying from him! Pennsylvania has been treating him very badly, killing livestock, destroying food and raiding his farm over the last several years! I was going to order from him, but I have Amish families I’ve been doing business with for a number of years and they rely on my business. If anything changes, I will order from him! I also have other farmers I get all my pastured meats and raw milk from.
Last week I was in my local Hannaford's Market and I bought Pete & Gerry's largeorganic eggs (my chickens are just now starting to lay again) and they were $7.99 a dozen. As I waited to grab my eggs, a woman was in front of me in the egg case, buying conventional medium eggs for $8.29. I thought it was pretty crazy somebody would so effortlessly pay more for less.....
The cost of industrially produced food is higher than organic produce when including the damage due to malnutrition, disease and the subsequent big pharma racketeering.
Producers need an income that keeps them wanting to continue while keeping their customers healthy and happy.
I had a neighbour who had 3 daughters. For fun the dad brought home a baby chick for the girls to raise. Once it got older and became a chicken my neighbour took it back to the farm. However his wife made the mistake of serving roasted chicken that night for dinner and little Brenda looked at her plate and wailed "You cooked Harvey!" Nothing could convince little Brenda that Harvey wasn't on the dinner table and was back at the farm.
Someone should let Elon know that the guy advising on the culling is the new head of pandemic preparedness - Parker. Prepare for a big fight if things get worse - mandates must not happen.
In actuality the CFO operations are not more economical it is only because of the criminal poison support by the Farm bill by the criminal element called the legislature
Also don't forget pastured eggs that are even better with low PUFA, not fed corn and soy grains in the winter. Now if they would stop feeding pastured chickens and pigs these grains, they would be healthy again!

Never too late to start.
Amen to that!
Now THAT'S a plan!
Do you hear the woosh? The pendulum is swinging back toward camp sanity! 🌞
When they focus on how to keep the immune system of all living animals vibrant and healthy we will be home.

I eat 4-5 a day, and cook an extra one for my border collies. :)
i also now look for local small farms for eggs, and yes, they are superior.
You can also go to RealMilk.com and find a truck that will deliver near your home. They raw dairy, pastured eggs, and a lot of other stuff.
Pretty well set where I am, but thank you to notify others as you did.

Got our apples crushed for Cider by the Amish in Western Penn. If you find fault with those people you should be jailed.
Several Amish communities in Maine too!
They often summer in Pinecraft, FL

FACTORY FARMING has always been “THE PROBLEM”.
Cows packed into feedlots standing in piles of fecal matter…
Chickens packed into small spaces is both cruel and unsanitary.
There is a movement towards REGENERATIVE natural “old school” methods which are certainly - SAFE and EFFECTIVE.
Small businesses like Southern California JIMBO’S are buying from these types of businesses to support their efforts.
I think Trump administration should direct some funds their way (these regenerative farmers and ranchers),
to encourage MORE of this type of good stewardship of the earths resources and its wonderful creatures .

Thanks for the laugh!

Red flags were already raised about his bizarre appointment by Trump. Elon needs to get on his case.....

I like chickens better than people.
If anyone comes around wanting to cull organic pasture raised egg suppliers, they can go to:
"Farm to Consumer Legal Defense Fund" (farmtoconsumer.org).
