My parents buy eggs from a chicken farm near Vancouver BC (Canada) whose flock of 70k was culled in late 2023 because the farm ACROSS THE STREET had one case of avian flu. No cases or positive tests at this farm but they killed the chickens anyway. It's not about health.

Here's a novel idea for these eco/bio cabalist cult freaks. Stop creating synthetic pathogen and disease that does not exist in nature, therefore does not need to exist. Humans need to call out the stupidity of gain-of-function research. These mad scientists are using incorrect hypothesis to solve global health problems. The deliberate circumvention of true science in order to clandestinely create such problems to find a solution after our reaction is triggered is a boring scenario. We're all sick and tired of it and are no longer falling for this rubbish. From your link I tracked back through the web archives, I came across a Sept/Oct 2002 Political Affairs artilce written by Dr. Steven Sanderson, who was the President of the Wildlife Conservation Society, and who is a political scientist. He proposed "a new conservation agenda". It sounds very much like the prelude to the concept of One Health that WCS came up with the following year!
