Being in nature is so healing especially the sun. Thanks for the reminder. 🌞

I agree. It is one of the things the Globalists want to get rid of with geoengineering because it is so healthy.

So true. Healthy people aren't profitable.

I know. I have to write a comment to the SEC for this NAC rule as it also threatens property rights. This rule has been stopped for now but they will pick it up again eventually.

Yes, God created Heaven and Earth.

We can enjoy what He has made for us.

I like sunbathing in January when I can, but not this week.

Grow vegetables. Eat em. Do stuff outside.

I agree. Also, eat wild food. Rosemary, sage, thyme, mushrooms (when 100% sure of the), dandelions, blackberries, wild broccoli & leeks, pine needle tea, sorrel, cress. Here, we make our own untreated olive oil - lots of work but worth it. Eating some wild food every day feels healthy!

Even in Florida it has pretty much been since November last year that you could barely see the sun, and a lot of rain. It's the worst weather since we moved her in 2020.

Same in Ohio Even when the weather calls it a sunny forecast it isn't. Just a milky white layer of garbage blocking real sun. Dec. had 2 days where you actually saw a blue sky, for a couple of hours. Then the planes fixed it.

This might also alert us to the dangers of urbanisation on a vast scale. Think of the vast numbers living in high rise apartments in the concrete jungles of the world. There are places in the great cities where there are hardly any birds or trees, where the wind howls down dark alleys unreached by the sunlight, and where the stars are scarcely visible at night due to pollution. Mankind has created an urban hell on earth that is endured by untold millions today.

That's what the Gs will attempt to use this rule for and what they want for us useless eaters.

I absolutely love this and it made me smile. Thank you!

Strange - that's attributing to Nature what God does in Christianity. The Bible says "The heavens [stars] declare the glory of God". In other words, God made the natural world for us to enjoy and flourish in - and the glory of the natural world points us to the Creator.

"For his invisible attributes, namely, his eternal power and divine nature, have been clearly perceived, ever since the creation of the world, in the things that have been made. So they are without excuse.” -Romans 1:20 ; “Worthy are you, our Lord and God, to receive glory and honor and power, for you created all things, and by your will they existed and were created.”- Revelation 4:11; "And he said with a loud voice, “Fear God and give him glory, because the hour of his judgment has come, and worship him who made heaven and earth, the sea and the springs of water.”-Revelation 14:7 ‘ Creation is not your mother, father or God, it does not love you. Find JOY in it, yes.

That’s paganism. Earth worship.

On the other hand, so often when I am hanging the wash on the line, and have to look straight up at the sky, the clouds, in order to pin sheets on the outer (thus higher) lines--I being quite short--do I proclaim, "This is the day which the Lord hath made--let us rejoice and be glad in it!". And apparently I did this often enough so my daughters follow suit.

Amen. We worship the Creator through His creation. And it IS a beautiful creation.

Expand full comment

It is all Gods creation. God formed it and formed us of it, to love it and be loved by it. One needn’t be pagan to feel at one with Creation, and feeling at one with creation does not make one pagan.

It depends upon what you are worshiping: Are you worshiping the gift or the Giver of the gift? I don't take it that she is worshiping the gift, so much as the Giver.

If appreciating the earth, its inhabitants and the sun is paganism, then I am a pagan. If there is a God who created all this, would he not be smiling on those who appreciate it? This post certainly brought joy to my heart.

Yes, the cartoon does have that pagan vibe, but I think others -- including you -- have addressed the issue. I am reminded the poem called St. Patrick's Breastplate. That poem gives a nod to the features of nature as "brothers" and "sisters," as though they were addressable. But then ends rather powerfully in it well known crescendo of exaltation of Christ. One version, put to music, is accessible here: https://youtu.be/zJx_Lu4PymE

At school - quite long ago! - we had a maths teacher, a young nun, who would sweep into the classroom and cry: “Open the windows, girls, open the windows!”

She insisted on *fresh air* to wake/shake us up, even in winter. She was quite right.

Stars. When is the last time you could see the milky way, laid out in its entirety? Or more than a few stars in the night sky? I watched Roots the other day and the scene where Kunta Kinte held baby Kizzy up to the magnificent star studded sky it dawned on me, I used to see that diamonds in the sky sky too. Like 50 years ago. Yes, I remember too. Glad I have those memories including even an occasional Northern Lights treat from my home in Ohio. Today the youth, 30-40 and under have no clue, They think the daily lines in the sky are just contrails. And stars only exist on the Tell-a-Vision at the Golden Globes. In another 20 years the memories will only exist in the minds of the dead. I pity the young for never knowing truth.

I hear ya! the stars of my youth are blotted out with light pollution at my beloved cottage in SW Michigan. when I was a kid, there weren't even streetlights up there. now every house has massive flood lights aimed right at anyone trying to enjoy their little piece of lakeshore and view of the sky. its maddening. we used to easily see the Milky Way and shooting stars. no more :(
