Seymour Hersh provides the inside story on the Biden administration's project to blow up the Nordstream pipelines
Of course we did it. Was there really ever any doubt?
And of course the Norwegians, Danes and Swedes were in on it. German government too.
Seymour Hersh broke the My Lai massacre and became famous 50 years ago. But even before then he had broken ground on the US’ biological warfare program, publishing a book on it in 1968.
Now 84, Hersh has not lost his spunk or his fearlessness. He has just published on his substack the story of the politics and planning of the Nordstream pipeline explosions. I urge you to read it. Not only did this reduce Russian revenues for natural gas by many $billions, but it allowed Norway and the US to sell more of their gas and oil to Europe. And somehow the US propaganda apparatus planted the stories that the Russkies bombed their own pipelines, and so the USG got away with it.
My two Nordstream stories are here and here. Bornholm Island, which is the closest land mass to where the pipelines were targeted in shallow coastal water, is marked with a red balloon and belongs to Denmark. But it’s closest to Sweden. I stayed in Ystad, Sweden in late May last year. The Baltic naval maneuvers, during which the bombs were planted by US divers trained in Florida, occurred in June. I barely missed the fun.
This was an act of war. Now there is a whistleblower. Does anything happen next?
Addendum: Brian Shilhavy at Health Impact News revealed a RAND proposal for engaging Germany in a conflict with Ukraine and Russia (even before the Russians entered Ukraine) published in a Swedish online newspaper in January 2022:
In what appears to be an exceptional internal leak from the think tank RAND Corporation, known among other things to have been behind the American strategy for foreign and defence policies during the Cold War, a detailed account is given of how the energy crisis in Europe has been planned by the United States.
The document, which dates from January, acknowledges that the aggressive foreign policy that was being pursued by Ukraine before the conflict would push Russia into having to take military action against the country. Its actual purpose, it contends, was to pressure Europe into adopting a wide range of sanctions against Russia, sanctions which had already been prepared.
The European Union’s economy, it states, “will inevitably collapse” as a result of this, and its authors rejoice in the fact that, among other things, resources of up to $9 billion will flow back to the United States, and well-educated young people in Europe will be forced to emigrate.
The key objective described in the document is to divide Europe – especially Germany and Russia – and destroy the European economy by placing useful idiots in political positions in order to stop Russian energy supplies from reaching the continent.
i was absolutely floored they denied this prior to Sy’s piece. now it’s simply ridiculous. they look like fools.
There is so much coming at us, from every angle, and on a daily basis, that my head is spinning some days. I'm grateful for those who can make sense of it all.
