There is a quote from somewhere, I know not where, that states: You cannot legislate morality. I think this is central to the problem that exists in our Republic. As long as everyone complies with the dictates of God's Law, having been granted the justice and liberty to live life peaceably, very little treachery will ensue. Perpetrators are punished and held up for examples to those who might entertain similar acts. \
But when justice is ignored and allowed to wither on the vine, criminal activity prevails, since it is nearly impossible to legislate against, and SURELY impossible if the legislators themselves are evil-minded.
So we must fortify ourselves to endure the coming intensity of these cancerous criminals who are NEVER going to repent and change outside of being heavenly influenced.
It's a sad realization, but what alternative is available for this wicked world? The only one that I can point to is to put ones faith in Christ Jesus and hang on tight with everything you have. Because it will get very rough indeed.

The law regards behavior but in practice serves to protect the rich (owners) from the poor. Seemingly set up in a "one rule fits all" system, the rich can buy the best defense, bribe / threaten judges and eventual jury. This feudal system needs to be reformed in a way that "the pain of punishment" is the same hence depends on position, responsibilities, income. For instance a CEO of a pharmaceutical industry who knowingly allows harmful products to be sold needs to receive the death penalty to serve as example. Unthinkable in "money buys everything" USA but happened in China.

Two wrongs don't make one right. The death penalty is just that, making two wrongs supposedly "okay". God says in the Sixth Commandment, "You will NOT kill", and that includes for "punishment". NO ONE EXCEPT GOD has ANY right(s) to decide who lives and who dies. Further, the ultimate condemnation and revenge belong ONLY to God as well. The death penalty is also lowering ourselves to the mass-murderers' level. They should have to serve life in prison without ANY possibility of parole, and have to ruminate day in and day out about their crimes and their guilt as a captive audience to God, and hopefully they will repent, and we should pray for them that they find remorse and do just that.
That's the other thing about the death penalty, it doesn't give the victims of it much time at all to repent if death is dispersed in a more rapid fashion (yes, I'm aware that regular killers sentenced to death have many years of appeals; so, yes, they already have plenty of time to repent, but that doesn't make the death penalty "okay"); and, as is also God's will, we have the ultimate duty to give the perpetrators time to repent until they die naturally. So, let's not lower ourselves to the level of the murderers by becoming murderers ourselves, but instead fulfill God's will and keep His commandments as He told us over and over again to do, making it absolutely clear that those who don't obey God, will be destroyed.

How do you recon with the times which God slaughtered entire armies of men, or at other times, commanded (King Saul, King David, or Joshua) to "take no prisoners", kill utterly men women and children, also every beast. Take no spoil, but utterly burn the entire city.
Also, it was God who dictated to Moses those "ordinances" which Moses did write for the children of Israel to follow. Stoning was the popular means by which to inflict capitol punishment. So, in my opinion, capitol punishment should remain for two obvious reasons: So as not to have to support the criminal for his lifetime, and for a display of the ultimate end to those who commit such acts.
Time to repent given them? The thief on the cross had how much time? Less than one day, and he will be in Paradise, come Resurrection Morning by the Hand of Christ. He didn't need years of reflection to repent.
The victims of murderers also are disadvantaged in the very same way. Will God bring them all into His pure Paradise, simply because their lives were cut short, regardless of their faith? These are hard questions, but they are not without answers. God has always been the "Judge" in matters of salvation. He sees things from the beginning to the very end, and has "just" reasons for His determinations for souls. He will not make mistakes or oversights in this matter. We can be assured of that much.
You concluded with a point that folks would rather not be faced with. Keeping the Commandments is a requirement, for sure. They are a "transcript of His character" as it is reported. While on the subject, it becomes necessary to include the importance of seeing that the 4th Commandment is the "seal" of God. The devil has His copy-cat "mark" of his making (the transferring of the solemnity of the 7th Day to the 1st. day) by way of the RC church, opposed to God's "Seal" which proclaims His Title, Name, and Territory, just as every legal "seal" must do. He is the Sovereign Creator, God, and His dominion is Heaven and Earth. This is what must be realized and given notice to. USA has denounced (as a nation) the God of Creation, and therefore has breached the covenant with her Lord. We are to "repair the breach" and reinstate God's position as Creator. Evolution is the vehicle which the enemy has successfully used to do just that.

Your point is irrefutable. However, the "Law" that I refer to is the Law of the Ten Commandments of God, not man's temporal laws which are MANY, and yes, many are penned to protect the instigators of evil, since they are mostly in control of their domains, where money and position overpower morality.
No matter what sort of "punishment" is ascribed to particular crimes, there will be those who are hell-bent on finding ways around them. Pride and the disdain of authority creates a challenge in their lives, and motivates them in a foul direction. Being adverse to ANY laws they are easy prey for Satanic influence, and thereby come to act as they do, regardless of any legal repercussions, because they believe themselves smarter than others, and can thereby avoid penalty.
But to LESSEN penalties, for instance, the death penalty for murder, is IMO taking the wrong approach. Because it WOULD seem to have a restrictive effect on criminally minded souls. IMO.

It's about time The National Childhood Vaccine Act of 1986 is rescinded...I believe this was the start of trouble in America.
