Some time ago, I read some autobiographical comment by Bancel (maybe an excerpt from a book he wrote?) where he describes how his wife and others - apparently including himself - were amazed that he left a high paid position at the French company "bioMérieux" to take up a role at a start-up called Moderna with apparently dubious prospects at the time.
