Mebendazole, which used to be dirt-cheap, and we prescribed for pinworms, shot up to $600/dose in the US when it was found to help treat some cancers. It remains cheap in India and Mexico, as far as I know. fenbendazole is not approved for humans.
Mebendazole is one molecule different to Fenbendazole, and that removal of single molecule does exactly nothing other than grant a fraudulent patent; in fact, as per studies Fenbendazole is actually superior to Mebendazole.

That is one of the things that saved me when I contracted the Delta COVId virus. They sent me home with nothing, along with the fate of having a dental problem and my wonderful sweet dentist gave me antibiotics twice. The medical doctor didn’t want to help in that way. Although prednisone helped I needed an antibiotic. Along with my husband helping nightly with a peroxide and saline nebulizer treatment is what got me through COVId. Otherwise I may not have made it. I would like to have ivermectin in case I need it, I did contract COVId a second time and was pretty bad, very scary when you can’t breath or cough too much. HCQ is both hard to assess in short term clinical trials and to use properly - it takes about 3 weeks to reach the steady-state plasma concentration. So IVM is a much more effective treatment for an illness with a sudden and unpredictable onset. Just my 2c.
I found ivermectin to be helpful at all stages of illness, dosed with zinc, doxycycline and vitamin-D (Dr. Borody's protocol).
Initially I prescribed ivermectin on day#1, but people sagged after the initial overnight improvement, even with D, Zn and doxycycline, so I went to every other day, with a double (loading) dose the first day, which was better, but people felt less well on the days they did not take ivermectin.
I, and most other treating physicians went to every day dosing of ivermectin, because people just did better, and we went up on dosing and duration over time, based on lack of side effects (observed and reported in literature) and how people responded clinically.
Feeling better is better when you are sick with a virus.
Ivermectin has a couple of antiviral mechanisms against COVID, is also anti-inflammatory, and reduces the pathological clot formation.
Any feed store has veterinary ivermectin OTC in "horse paste" and injectable liquid concentrate. Both can be taken orally. Most 160# "horses" get the apple-flavored horse paste. Tractor Supply Company sells it online, too.

Since acetaminophen has a negative effect on glutathione, when will some one do a deep dive into this drug that is marginal at best, but the marketing has been A+. (after 3 cancelled surgery dates, supposedly due to 'full ICU'). when she finally had the thing done, out of 12 ICU beds, 7 were occupied (including her, which was only post-surgical - she came home the next day.) a family member was in the hall and overheard the rounds summery. 5 of the 7 were in ICU due to 'kidney failure'. I would bet anything that they were all from Remdesivir cuz what are the odds of it being a coincidence.
If anyone had the courage to do a deep dive into the fatalities in the hospital from COVID-19 and the Fauci fatal protocol, they would see a correlation between Remdesivir and Tylenol as being the chief culprits! WARNING: If you take an ivermectin dose to deworm 50 horses, 500 times a typical human dose, you might get sick and die, maybe.
In a trial on human volunteers, doses of 60, 90, and 120 mg were included to establish a significant safety margin for administration of this drug. No central nervous system effects, using pupil size as the parameter, were detected at the maximum dose level. No adverse events were reported in subjects who received 120 mg of ivermectin, which is 10 times the proposed dose of 0.2 mg/kg for treatment of scabies. There was minimal accumulation following multiple dosing (three times per week) with ivermectin, which was consistent with the half-life in the body of about one day.
A safety margin of ten times the recommended dose sounds good, but it gets better.
