As some here perhaps know, I recently wrote a piece on the alleged "Nazi Substack" that went semi-viral on Substack. I thought that this piece had netted me as many as 50 new "paid subscribers." However, after waiting a couple of days to see the Stipe payments that were deposited into my checking account, I learned that nine (9) of my new subscriptions weren't processed or were rejected or not allowed.
Three were from readers in Europe. The majority were not paid by banks because of "Zip code" errors. Frankly, I don't know if these are legit reasons for disallowing these payments or not. Anyway, it looks like about 25 percent of my "new paid" subscribers aren't really new paid subscribers.
As I wrote in my original piece, the possible effort to scuttle the influence of Substack's "freedom" or "vaccine-hesitant" authors bears watching.
I just got another Substack metric that puzzles me. My most recent article ("Covid didn't suddenly become 'deadly' in April 2020") is one of my more original and, I think, more important pieces.
Per Substack, my "open rate" on this article was 35 percent. (This is the percentage of my subscribers who get my emails who actually click on the email and perhaps read the article).
Well, about 3 months ago, my "open rate" average was more than 43 percent. In recent months, it's plunged to about 37 percent.
It's possible I've simply lost my mojo as a writer. Stories I previously wrote that used to resonate with readers no longer do at the same percentage. Or, perhaps, something else is happening here?
Who knows? That's the thing - I can't prove any of this speculation that something "fishy" might be going on with Substack contrarian authors like myself. It's just my "Spider sense."

Substack has another problem: I've been deluged with spam after subscribing to several Substack authors. I suspect Substack sells me email address. It's a worry.

Per Substack, my "open rate" on this article was 35 percent. (This is the percentage of my subscribers who get my emails who actually click on the email and perhaps read the article).
Well, about 3 months ago, my "open rate" average was more than 43 percent. In recent months, it's plunged to about 37 percent.
It's possible I've simply lost my mojo as a writer. Stories I previously wrote that used to resonate with readers no longer do at the same percentage. Or, perhaps, something else is happening here?
Who knows? That's the thing - I can't prove any of this speculation that something "fishy" might be going on with Substack contrarian authors like myself. It's just my "Spider sense."

Substack has another problem: I've been deluged with spam after subscribing to several Substack authors. I suspect Substack sells me email address. It's a worry.

Before assuming Musk is at the bottom of the censorship, consider that censoring is not done directly by him but rather employees. It may be some unfaithful employees are being paid to censor by liberal third parties.
His entire net worth is due largely to government (many military) contracts. How can you possibly think his hands are clean? He is serving his benefactors.
Then he needs to promptly fire them and openly report it will not be tolerated!

It never ceases to amaze me the beautiful human trust people place on such constructs created by the cabal to run us down, strip away truth, trap and enslave with fake personas. I have nothing but pity for a man who's life has been written like a screenplay to serve the darkest on this planet. I genuinely mean that. But the lesson for me is that the GOOD at the core of humanity cannot be overcome and they already know that but obsessively march on in the insane and delusional idea that they were meant to rule, decide on who lives and dies and who gets to feed off the spoils. As the continued understanding of the power of the good spreads, and it is, the power of these entities are dwarfed on a level of magnitude almost unimaginable and they are fully aware of this and are in far more fear than one could imagine. .

I’m convinced there’s many, many chameleons working in every social media space available today. Who knows why “X” would delete or add and or remove tweets. It become clear there’s fraudsters in all walks of life looking to push their agenda on others and deliberately deleting or adding something the original writer posted. I personally only use Substack and I’m convinced there’s some of the same happenings on Substack as well. Big tech has far too much power and control! As in the case with Meryl’s tweet on “X”. It common place for hackers to add malevolent software to erode anything they deem offensive or untrue or they simply like seeing if they can hack into a company like “X”. Who really knows anymore whether or not what they write is being read? The exact reason I decided when big tech came into existence I would not be part of it. Substack is and will only be the media outlet I’ll use until it becomes like the rest of
