I want to go back to the days with no computers, no cell phones and normal real people with common sense who know God created it all.

There’s still some of us normal real people around!

You and me both Susan.

Unfortunately that is not impossible and even if it were there is a tremendous downside.

Valid Information would take a back seat to speculation and feelings which are often inaccurate and worse.

I recall well my parents deciding to forgo the internet and remaining ignorant of the world we share. At the same time fully realize the tremendous garbage content out there, which does require sophistication to sort through. Ah, the good old days

The warning is only for 12 hrs? I didn't know the ocean water could change temperature so quickly... will it warm up by tomorrow?

Expand full comment

I know I live near the West Coast and it takes a lot to warm the ocean 2 degrees!!

you are basically correct though the sunlight only penetrates a few feet which is the depth most swim. Deeper is colder for this reason and currents mix, though it is unlikely that the change is immediate. Still we are discussing the obvious contradictions.

I assume you are joking though the other commenters took your comment seriously!

Such is the state of news these days -- ridiculously poor language skills.... I wonder if there are no more editors employed.

Sometimes I turn on the local news just to laugh! Did you know the U.S. had a president who was named Buck-a-nin? And today I heard that idiot Amanpour say, "The Republicans have gone full-woke." She apparently doesn't even know what woke means.

😂 A very good point to make along with a very good question.

Reminds me of the app “waterminder” that tells you when to drink water to stay hydrated!! Why not just listen to your body ? We also have god-given sense mechanisms to navigate the world around us. Do we really need devices to tell us when the ocean is cold or our bodies need water?

In central California coastal, the weather alerts are ludicrous. It's going to be a high tide at the new moon and they'll send out a scare saying it's a king tide danger to property etc., you don't even see a puddle.

Which is like crying Wolf so no one listens to a real issue!

We got that too for lakes up here in Orono. Like people can’t tell the water is cold. 🥶How did we all survive when our Ma Bell phones hung on the wall and no one sent techie warnings ? 🤫

Hey, I still have one of those beauties, lol 😂. Best damn phones ever built!

I wish we all still had them. Life was good.

The Climate Change Global Warmers believers don't seem aware that we are beginning our climate COOLING cycle.

Expand full comment

A bit like the ones who swallowed the covid narrative hook, line and sinker, don't seem to be the slightest aware that the vaccinated are dropping like flies, or living with intractable so-called "side" effects of the vaxxes? (in complete denial of it, actually)

That’s why they changed it to “climate change”!!

I'm in the Monterey Bay Area, CA. We in coastal CA often have temps in the 70s and 80s and even 90s, occasionally, but the sea temps are almost always very cold, low to mid-50s,

rarely higher. Keeps our weather temperate for the most part.

I was in Santa Cruz 10 years ago and the polar bears up there swim in the water when it's only 60° in water temperature in the summer. That year of the end of summer, the water temperature was up through 60s even touch 70.

Expand full comment

I do not recall it ever having reached 70, but 60s for sure. Never when I went in the water, though, which I haven't done for decades! (I don't even have a bathing suit which fits anymore, in any case, heh!)

And you know the visitors because they are outside in bikini’s and it’s like 65!!!

My little WeatherBug app keeps showing VERY HOT ☀️🌵 for every temperature above 80. Today was 85 and gorgeous but it was OMG! VERY HOT! ☀️🌵on the app.

Heat wave, my *ss.

All made up to create fear. Just look at weather back in the 20’s and 30’s. So many people ignore history and follow “the sky is falling “ as Chicken Little cried out. It’s a sad world how ignorant Americans have become--“ just listen to the propaganda on TV” is as far as their curiosity for truth leads them. Ignorance leads to a fallen nation. China sits on the back of the Great White Shark just waiting to close its jaws on a nation blinded by fear and ignorance . Pray that God will save those that love Him.

Back in the late 19th century “ official “ weather stations were set up, usually on universities or other open farm areas to record “ official temperature data. Because there wasn’t a lot of heat trapping materials yet in use, and because these weather stations were isolated, for a long time they recorded cool temperatures. Over time asphalt roads, airports, suburbs closed in due to the growth of society, and radiated heat to the official weather stations. Even a gentle breeze blowing across a giant parking lot, heated up to a sizzle, could change the temperatures of the official weather station and laid the ground work for global warming.

The "official" temps around here are always reported "from the airport." The huge heat generators that they are. My town the "official" temp is reported from the local University. Another big heat generator. SMH

According to Al Gore we should all be dead by now from climate change. Btw, he's worth more than $300 million just for promoting bogus weather reports.🤢

Gore's buddy John Kerry loves the comfort of private jets. And of course, Biden is determined to ban gas stoves so his climate scam scoundrel friends can profiteer off of "sustainability." 🤑

Btw, Kerry on his recent trip to Beijing probably needed a mask to eliminate the pollution coming from all of China's recent coal mine excavations.😷😁

While I'm not particularly a climate alarmist I am a boater here in the Pacific Northwest. My reading of the warning is to say hey dummy the water in the ocean around here is pretty cold despite how warm it is outside and indeed that is the case here in the Puget Sound area as well. Not quite take your breath water if you swim in it from time to time as I do but it will bring on panic and causes even me to gasp for air on first jumping in.

Still, it boggles the mind, this hyper-cautionary climatic hovering from an entity of the same government that hasn't the slightest healthy curiosity surrounding humanity--in actuary-alarming swaths--dropping over dead from unexplained causes.

As long as the water temperature doesn't shock, it's all good...

😆

No different than usual!! I hyperventilated falling in the river in March too ... it was warm outside & that water was some snow melt!! I survived :)
