I stopped serious writing long ago but since this post by Meryl aims at illuminating the history and purpose of the W.H.O.—even at its inception the W.H.O. was set up to use the fear of pandemic to restrict and constrain human freedoms using much the same narrative as today—and since I sent some emails to a friend well over a year ago on this topic parts of them are included below for whatever interest they might have. I am not trying to sneak in an essay as a comment and if it is inappropriate please feel free to delete it. I have tried to show where quotes are embedded but there will probably still be some confusion over what is embedded into what—apologies. Some of the links may be stale and in particular the link to Brock Chisholm, M.D., first Director General of the W.H.O. has been scrubbed, attacked as apocryphal, and then resurrected. I believe that the quotes are accurate despite the “debunking,” and I have not checked the links in over a year. If they are apocryphal then there is, as Wesley Salmon might have put it, “a damn strange coincidence” afoot.

What conservatives are now constantly calling “communist” or “socialist” or “cultural Marxist” policies are simply the siren calls of oligarchical feudalism masquerading as queen of the ball collectivism (no individual private property, no competitive capitalism, no individual choices that do not conform to the common good as they define it), and such choices crafted to maximize or optimize that common good according to the great algorithm that must be trusted implicitly, to which we must all be “rationalized.”
Has anyone considered advising each of our govt reps that we listen to them and not a extra-territtorial unelected body? Why do any of us listen to the WHO? If our govt's do then we hold our govt's to task . Stop giving energy and credibility to the WHO. Please ask people to hold our elected reps responsible. Depending on the country there are legal and constitutional avenues to stop our govts from ceding authority (which they cant) to unelected groups that pay them money to do so.
