I never did. I always refused to hide. I wanted agents to read my words and learn.

Expand full comment

What evidence do you have that agents can learn rather than just do what they are told?

The fact that whistleblowers are destroyed for fighting the system proves that "they" don't learn and last.

Lol, I totally agree. I _want_ the FBI to read my meme collection:

Maybe a few of the agents will break free of their chains when they get a good laugh or a bit of meme-based enlightenment.

Tucker Carlson exposed CIA monitoring his Signal account on air.

Expand full comment

He didn't expose a vulnerability in Signal itself. While almost nothing electronic is absolutely secure Signal messaging would require resources that even most of the USG doesn't likely have to totally break as a true 3rd party. There's speculation about encryption/decryption capabilities in this area but nothing concrete.

What is very vulnerable in Signal are the endpoints since it still relies on people physically securing their devices and using strong passwords. Probably he was talking to an account of someone who used a poor password, which breaks that chain but does not prove a break in the whole system.

Expand full comment

This is a good point.

Was surprised to see Signal listed in this article and assumed the author maybe mistook it for something else, since Signal isn't really a social network. I still don't recommend it to people because of its centralized nature (looking toward SimpleX Chat, Session, Berty, etc. instead), but that's a different conversation.

or they just broke into his phone. any stock android or especially iphones are open books for the gov agencies. but that requires targetted attacks, with expensive engineer hours, and if they overuse it, then they expose it and lose the capability.

Signal is good enough against mass collection, which is already a lot, and much better than the rest.

And you believed him? Why?

Tucker was just the latest in deception-style warfare aimed at making people *think* Signal can be hacked. He "exposed" this back in 2020 for two nights in a row, but didn't get around to telling anyone it was Signal until last week.

I just wrote about this - https://reportsfromtherabbithole.substack.com/p/can-the-nsa-hack-your-signal-app

It's pure psychological warfare.

Declaring a program can't be hacked is like declaring an election can't be corrupted by fraud. It is wise to presume nothing is secure. Against such mindset, psyops typically fail.

Ok, i read your newsletter. I agree that with signal's level of encryption, penetrating it is unlikely just as you said...but its not impossible. I'm just saying I'm not so quick to call someone a liar without better evidence. He does act goofy in that interview, but I don't consider that a tell for lying. He acts goofy every time he's the one being interviewed.

Tucker said he was working on obtaining an interview with Putin a few months before the Russia/Ukraine war. Probably US intelligence considered the folks he was communicating with as being too close to Putin for their comfort. The left already views Tucker as some sort of terrorist sympathizer & Ukraine hater. I would guess the feds have been surveilling him for quite a while.

Tucker grew up in DC, his father worked for CIA affiliated media organization. He is establishment and only reveals what they want us to know.

Actually, Tucker grew up in California & didn't live in DC until years later. For most of his adult life he was a registered Dem. While his dad did work for the federal government as a diplomat, ambassador, & broadcaster for the USIA, I can find nothing linking him to the CIA. Through his dad's career & his own, Tucker has many connections to "insiders" in the government. He has consistently spoken out against the "establishment" during the years I have been following him. I've yet to see any indication he is a shill for the establishment.

You’re right. I based what I said on this interview. He said he grew up in the media and I assumed it was DC be sue he lived there recently and his father worked for government media. He actually claims to be a rejected CIA agent, same with Anderson Cooper.

As far as his CIA connections...they're not easy to find.

1) The New Yorker reported that he tried to join the CIA out of college - not found any denials

2) His father was appointed assoiciate director of the United States Information Agency and later became Director of Voice of America, basically a US propaganda arm of the CIA, even using one of it's radio station sites as a black site. It was established by OSS which became the CIA

3) GWH Bush, former CIA director appointed him as Ambassador to the Seychelles

4) He bacame vice-chairman of the Defense of Democracies foundation, founded by Clifford May who was also on the Council for Foreign Relations and the Project for a New American Century.

Tucker got his journalism start with Policy Review, a Heritage which has numerous intelligence agency connections, notably former CIA director James Woolsey who worked on a task force aimed at improving the United Nations with Heritage founder Edwin Fuelner.

My husband had his Youtube suddenly shut down. He only had a few videos up and didn't violate any terms. He asked why his account was shut down and they wouldn't tell him. He had one Christian themed video and some marketing videos as he was trying to create a monetized account. So much for that attempt to earn income....it lasted all of a week and there is no resource nor way to find out what he supposedly did wrong. I don't use much social media and I don't have any videos, myself. I don't have time, nor the interest. Honestly, all the censorship has soured me on the internet and while I keep up with a few things, I really don't participate because it isn't fun anymore. I'm tired of all the games and nonsense. I used to like spending a little time on social media, but other than keeping in touch with extended family and friends, I don't post much of anything. I am tired of how things have become so polarized and tired of people fighting each other. I have better things to do at this point and I am in the process of spending less and less time with social media and e-mail. I never got into twitter and I don't either a cell phone nor a smart phone, so I can't participate in a lot of stuff anyway. I know a lot of people who have stopped using social media, etc. because they are tired of the nonsense as well.

No time for cowardice. We must continue speaking up and sharing despite who knows. It's how you oppose the strength of the mass formation, as per Mattias Desmet.

Expand full comment

Exactly! Even one person standing up and loudly speaking the truth has the power to liberate thousands of others.

The conclusion of one of the famous experiments on conformity (the Asch experiement iirc) was that you can get people to doubt their own sanity if everyone else tells them they are crazy, but even one other person willing to speak the truth breaks that spell immediately.

Expand full comment

Courage is POSITIVELY infectious.

Expand full comment

The mass formation is caused by censorship. This isn't what Desmet says, but it's true. For Desmet, the origin of mass formation is our own mechanistic thinking, not censorship. This is backwards.

I agree on the "speaking up " part but what do we speak up against? Against a depopulation agenda? That the shots are bad? How far will such treading into "misinformation" get us?

I'm beginning to see that speaking up means speaking up against censorship, period, full stop. Why? Because this can be seen. Not many of the new normal folks can see any depopulation agenda or any bad shots or the fake insurrection. But they can see, for example, that the Jan 6 videos are being censored. They can see that early treatment for Covid was/is censored. They can see that all tyrannies label criticism as lies or, in the new terminology, as "misinformation." Criticism of government policies should never be labelled as misinformation and therefore censored, which is of course happening now on a large scale.

Any speaking up is good speaking up.

The shots ARE bad, and the more people who speak the truth about it, the better. Just get people to start looking at the evidence:

Social media is a government (foreign and domestic) tool to propagandize and confuse its users. I’ll be honest, it was hard to leave Gab because it was the only place I could find a lot of different types of articles. I prayed about it though because God had me leave facebook about 2.5 years ago, He told me to delete my GAB account. It is a time stealer and it wasn’t improving my mental outlook on life. Based on what my VPN tells me, substack is not really any ‘cleaner’ as far as tracking attempts. However, I don’t want to live an a total blackhole of information and without the ability to ask the author or fellow commenters questions.

Expand full comment

Government = propaganda. You had better be able to live in a black hole because when the "driver's license for the internet" comes with a digital identity you are going to be faced with the black hole or taking the knee "just this once" and the propaganda only. If you want privacy, use physical things like cash. Quit paying with cards and their digital money. It is inconvenient for a reason!

When it comes to insisting on First Amendment issues and the right for conservatives and patriots to post truths, Social media remind us they’re private companies with the right to totally control content.

When it comes to allowing Big Government to monitor and censor conservative content, social media become quite the conscience of the leftist, progressive narrative, arguing it’s in the public interest to allow its comrades-in-arms to regulate content.

One important aspect of the destruction of credibility of the major social media is the debunking of the idea that competition can solve the problem of censorship on the internet and media. As soon as one of these alternative social media companies gets big enough to be a threat to dominant narratives, it can be bought or forced out of business or or simply coerced through business contracts to change its tune slowly.
