The poor NYT just doesn't get it. They say Trump ran a "dark and defiant" campaign. Trump won partially cause he was sniper shot, hit in the head (ear) on live TV, and immediately struggled to rise through the suppression of his Secret Service protectors, to lift his fist defiantly in the air and urge Americans to follow him. That is defiance and that is what so many Americans want. They voted for an imperfect person who is, yet, a leader and a warrior. Better than an uncontested cut out any way you look at it. Harris ran the dark and idiotic campaign. Let's all head out today and walk around town and smile at people. And let em know we voted for Trump and Vance and Kennedy and Musk and Gabbard and we see hope in that. And responsibility.

I am hugely smiling. We now have chance to right the ship

of State.

You can don a garbage bag and smile at everyone, that's a pretty clear indication of where a person "stands" on the issues vis-a-vis Trump!

ViaVeritasVita's avatar

I wore a garbage bag to the polls yesterday morning. "Biden did that" stickers (with the Don'S face smiling smugly) over it, and on the back an 8"x11" sign: My president calls me garbage. And I'm damned proud!"

Good idea I am going to do that.. Nothing but Chameleon signs around me, but it was real quiet last night LOL, which was a good sign for me and LOL, its real quiet now LOL.

NYT is State Dept. clan. Bound to be some bad feelings.

NYT sent the same photographer, with very high speed camera to get the shot of Trump's brains splattering, as who got the pictures of Bush reading My Pet Goat on 9/11/01.

What's the odds, eh?

However, the guy got a picture of the flying bullet that grazed Trump's ear, instead...

very well said. can I quote you on X?

I attended the Republican Watch Party last night and was so relieved that Trump is our 47th. He makes people uncomfortable because he can't be pigeon holed. I have rarely seen anyone equal his stamina. Amazing.

Relief is the word. Not that there aren’t shenanigans incoming. But phew that there are more sane people than zombies in this country.

ViaVeritasVita's avatar

A "dark" campaign? NYT must not have attended any of his rallies---or perhaps does not understand irony.

Lon Guyland's avatar

They mistake their propaganda for his campaign.

John Day MD's avatar

Still likin' the Eraserhead avatar, Mr. Guyland.

I miss the New York Times; it made an excellent bird cage liner before I grew utterly disgusted with its BS 5 or 6 years ago....

Freedom Farmer's avatar

It is so-called "liberal" democrat shit-cage liner now.

Do any critical thinkers even read that rag any more? It will be instructive, and comical, to watch all the propaganda networks spin the results. "It's confirmed now that over half the country including Hispanics and blacks are white supremacists...Oh yeah, I forgot misogynists too."

Unfortunately, I don't think this is the end of the election mayhem as those currently manipulating the puppet commander in chief will resort to more vile tactics with assistance from the traitor "news readers" to foment more hate and division. Think wild animals backed into a corner.

They will not relinquish power with grace but with venom. We ought to be prepared and remain calm, and not succumb to anger and fear. It’s important to continually request our Creator’s spirit of love and charity in order to maintain our personal sanity.

NYT,AP,Reuters etc are IC/Bureaucracy controlled.

Such a farce.

They suggest : " He played on fears of immigrants and economic worries... "

......as if this was all our imagination. The NYT, and most of the rest of the captured media speaks t0 the American people as if they/we are ignorant. Which is, of course, what they have been calling Trump's supporters for quite some time now. What I know is that those who choose to believe such garbage (which is what Biden said WE are - wow, such irony.) - they are the ones needing some education...

But - one can't teach someone who "knows better", eh?!

Warrior Mom's avatar

right?! 'fears of...' I guess they couldn't bring themselves to admit that those 'fears' came from objective, observable reality.

OnTheJump's avatar

clearly NOT.

Some just won't believe what their eyes see, what their ears hear, and what their noses smell........in this case - poop.

Despite his many obvious flaws. there's a certain authenticity to Mr T while Chameleon was kind of like a wind-up animated manniken, shaped like a human but lacking any shred of authenticity. Of course she too was an enabler of genocide, which likely explains to some degree why she lost by 11% among new voters. he Dems have proven once again that despite their frantic rants against Mr. T, they would rather lose to him that win with Bernie (20160 or RFK,Jr (2024). They have embraced empire whole hog., and as a result today became bacon.

It is not possible to despise the New York Times enough. The owners should be put in stocks and the editors paraded in their tar and feathers, while the reporters are run out of town on a rail. Then all their desks should be buried in the earth and seeded with salt. Just kidding, but it might take several generations for it to become a respectable source of actual reporting again.

Ridicule and satire make a good start. They are our friends.

His win opens up a new era of uncertainty for the NYT

FIFY

Utopian Fool's avatar

Not wrong in truth. "Dark" days ahead for the NYT and its financial backers and "defiant" by defying the odds faced with an onslaught of biased "reporting" and slander 💪✊

Mary Barrett's avatar

Of course there is a plan! But Love and Truth Trumps all!!

Gogs's avatar

So the NYT thinks the Democrats aka the Neoconservative party had a winning campaign? Are they that stupid, or as bad as that party of chaos itself? I've never seen a worse campaign - or party, to be fair.

Grape Soda's avatar

It’s truly mind boggling. My conclusion is that propaganda works, especially on those spreading it.

Juliaah's avatar

Probably, or more likely an acceleration of a war with Iran (and thus Russia)

Utopian Fool's avatar

You STILL haven't got it? Hey, I may be wrong but I doubt it.

Juliaah's avatar

What - you don’t think the neocons will pull some sh!t in the dying embers re-inauguration?

Warrior Mom's avatar

the darkness was CLEARLY on the other side! all the misuse of the term 'fascist' and calling people Nazi's, that was the Dem campaign, a campaign that consisted of Harris answering every question with tirades about Trump and never about anything positive SHE concretely stood for.
